Maniquí” is an empty body resisting oblivion.
An archetypal silhouette—detached from identity and immersed in raw matter—stands as a silent symbol of erased and reconstructed femininity.
The piece merges layers of primal pigments and vital fluids in a disturbing yet poetic balance. The mannequin, commonly a mute and commercial object, is reimagined here in its ritual dimension: voiceless, yet infused with memory.
The cement-toned background and earthy palette evoke both wound and protection, while the rough textures and fractures speak of vulnerability as a form of resistance.
“Maniquí” wears nothing: it undoes form and is dressed only in substance.
